Process of creating a music video

The are different processes in the making of a music video. Each process differs for all videos as each video has to be unique with different catering aspects. However, there is a basic process.
It begins with selecting the music, then deciding on a theme or an initial idea that the video should portray upon the music. A storyboard is crucial to know what scene you are planning to shoot after each scene is taken. Location is also key in the making of a music video and permission must always be granted as filming without permission is deemed trespassing and thus making it a criminal offence.
After all of the above is sorted out the shooting may begin. When filming beings, the camera focuses on the artist singing, you must play the song and have them sing and play along to it in order to make sure that their lips and/or instruments are in sync. Then editing correctly making sure the music and lip syncing is in time is vital to make the video look proffesional.
