Vox Pops

Vox pops is a term used to describe the 'voice of the people'. It usually involves interviewees which are shown in public places and are giving spontaneous opinions in a chance encounter. Vox pops are mainly used in news programmes to show a balanced opinion regarding a matter. This will allow them to say..'Opinion was divided on the streets'.  The main purpose of a vox pop is to get a varietry of answers and opinions on any given subject.
